Every drum is built from reindeer hide and birch in our workshop in Savukoski. A unique instrument for meditation, sound healing and playing — not factory stock.

Makers
Sari Autere and Jukka, Savukoski
Sari founded Rumpu-ukko and has made drums for about 16 years. Jukka joined about six years ago. Together they have sent nearly 2,700 drums into the world.
Hide is Finnish reindeer, the frame is double birch plywood, the handle is often wood gathered in Lapland. A beater is always included.
We cannot ship to the USA right now because of customs rules. EU shipping continues.

Before you order
What are the drums made of?
Birch-plywood frame, Finnish reindeer hide, wooden handle, felted beater. Made in Savukoski.
Do you ship to the USA?
Not at the moment. We will resume when the customs situation is clear.
Is a drumstick included?
Yes. Shape and colour can vary slightly from the photo.
Can I make a drum with you?
Yes. A workshop visit is 2–4 hours, 300–500 € per person, 1–4 people. Write to info@rumpu-ukko.fi.
